It begins as a clean spirit distilled from English wheat. This liquid is then redistilled in their Carter Head copper still, which allows the botanicals to infuse into the spirit. Using botanicals sourced from the finest growers around the world and a number of traditional herbs and spices, a mellow, balanced gin is produced with lovely herbal qualities and piney notes. Fascinatingly, Boodles opts not to use any citrus throughout production, in encouragement to you adding your own preferred slice.
Boodles Gin reads like a classic gin on the nose. Very clean and quite straightforward. There's a lot of juniper, but also a lot of angelica. A hint of spice and earthiness hovers in the background, albeit subtly.
