Matured in casks that previously aged delectable Pinot Noir wine from the Burgundy region of France. This elegantly matured single pot still Irish whiskey is non-chill filtered & has had no colour added. The influence of the French wine from the Pinot Noir Casks has brought new notes of summer fruits, and a depth of warm tannins to the creamy honey, vanilla, and pot-spice notes of the original Drumshanbo Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey.
Tasting Note
Nose is vanilla heavy, with grassy malt and honeyed porridge. A slow build of spiced fruit compote and chocolate mousse. On the palate you'll find Christmas cake, buttered rye bread, red chilli flake, milk chocolate again and some flamed orange peel brightness. Finishe is long and warming with raisin, hazelnut spread, drying spices.
