After seeing demand for higher strength spirits, the Hayman family, England’s longest running gin producing family, returned to their archives to produce a Navy-Strength Gin using a recipe dating back to1863. Named after the Deptford Dock in London, the famous home for the Royal Navy, this gin was given to British sailors during the 19th century.
Made with ten botanicals: juniper, coriander, lemon peel, orange peel, angelica root, cinnamon root, cassia bark, orris root, licorice, and nutmeg - then bottled at a hearty 57% ABV.
A well-balanced and intense Navy Strength gin. The mouth-feel is smooth with an intensity of flavour thanks to the higher strength, followed by a long finish, protracted with pleasing juniper flavours.
