Robert Mondavi is one of the greatest Californian producers and this robust American Chardonnay is flavour packed. Fruit undergoes malolactic fermentation and then a portion is aged in American Oak bourbon barrels for 8 months. This results in a creamy, textural chardonnay with glorious stonefruit, baked citrus and toasty oak characters. A very satisfying Californian Chardonnay that is sure to please.
Tasting note
A classically styled Chardonnay with a rich and creamy palate of baked apples, poached pears and pineapple. Balanced and elegant with threads of baking spice and citrus, the majority of the wine is aged in French oak, lending a toasty, creamy note to the finish.
