This latest limited release is a riff on Dr Beak's extremely popular Japanese Umeshu infused gin liqueur, and is crafted by steeping both red shiso leaf (think cinammon flavoured mint leaf) and NZ-grown green ume fruit in their New Zealand Garden Gin for several months.
The tart fruit and herbaceous shiso is balanced with rock sugar, and the resulting Umeshu Gin Liqueur has flavours reminiscent of lifted florals, red-boiled candy, almonds & apricot.
Enjoy over ice, with soda water or in a cocktail.
