According to the Tamil language, 'Kadhambam' translates to 'mixture' or 'combination', perfectly encapsulating the process of this Amrut whisky: aged in bourbon casks, then transferred to ex-oloroso, brandy, and rum casks. The result is a distinct and exciting whisky, with complex flavours and aromas that reveal themselves over time.
Tasting note
The aroma exhibits a floral richness and notes of honey, along with nutty and vanilla undertones from new oak. Scents of citrus and tropical fruits add a lifted fruitiness. On the palate, there are hints of candied fruits, subtle oak, and a touch of peat, all integrated with spices. The finish is both warm and complex, with a long, dry aftertaste.
