Amrut Naarangi introduces a unique single malt whisky finished in orange infused sherry casks. They have sourced Oloroso Sherry from Spain and aged it with fresh orange peels for two years. The sherry was then replaced with Amrut Single Malt for additional maturation. This results in an elegant fusion of orange sherry notes and whisky flavor, aptly named Naarangi – which means orange in Hindi.
Tasting note
The nose of this whisky presents notes of citrus peel and sherry, along with hints of mulled wine, warm brown sugar, leather, and spice. On the palate, expect to be met with caramel infused with citrus, dark chocolate, and a peppery spice blend of nutmeg, clove, cinnamon, and allspice. The finish is long and dominated by a chocolatey and oaky experience, with subtle notes of spice.
