On the nose there's an abundance of blueberry, cedar, toasted spice and rich floral aromas, followed by immense complexity and long-lasting flavour on the palate. Totally mouthfilling with plush texture backed by layers of fine-grained tannins, it's vinted in a fulsome, tour de force style, with incredible detail.As a young, concentrated wine, we suggest that you decant this wine before service if opening over the coming decade. It will continue to reward further cellaring over the coming 15+ years.

Sam Kim, Wine Orbit: "Richly fruited and instantly appealing, the bouquet shows black/blueberry, cedar, toasted spice and rich floral aromas, followed by a wonderfully weighted palate delivering terrific power and persistency. It's silky and mouthfilling with a lengthy velvety finish." 96pts.
Ray Jordan: "From the opening salvo on the nose, you know you’re in serious territory. Comes from a single vineyard in the Eden Valley, with dense almost opaque colours of dark red and deep crimson. The nose delivers a power-packed hit of dark plummy blackberry fruits laced with dark chocolate and a touch of prune juice. The palate then picks up with the American and French oak combination harnessing the powerful fruit. Tannins are slightly chalky bringing excellent structural integrity. With all that it still delivers with a smooth effortless palate." 96pts.
Ken Gargett: "From a single vineyard in the Eden Valley, this is stunning stuff, having spent time in a mix of French and American oak. Inky maroon hue, this is big and bold and richly flavoured. We have notes of chocolate, mocha, espresso, blueberries, cocoa powder, vanilla and oodles of licorice. The oak integration is exemplary with abundant but very fine and soft tannins. Excellent length, the palate sees cloves and beef stock notes to the fore. Well structured, this is a wine which is delicious now, but will sail through the next decade and more. Lots to love here." 94pts.
