Italy produces the most (and best) lemons in the world, so in true Italian fashion, they developed a more delicious and fun way to utilise this plentiful fruit. Limoncello is an Italian lemon liqueur, made by steeping lemon zest in grain alcohol until the oils are released. The result is a luxurious yellow liquid that is further mixed with a simple syrup to balance in sweetness.
I have had authentic limoncello in Italy, as well as more bespoke/expensive limoncello in NZ from markets, this limoncello is just as good. A little sweeter maybe, but as long as you drink it cold, it's a great way to finish a meal, or mix in a cocktail. Highly recommended
