Aerstone

Aerstone is a single malt Scotch whisky from William Grant & Sons, the family-owned distiller also behind Glenfiddich and The Balvenie. It is made at Ailsa Bay, a distillery on the Ayrshire coast in Scotland's Lowlands, and was created with newer whisky drinkers in mind, curated by the company's malt master to be a genuinely approachable single malt without losing the depth that makes the category worth exploring.

Aerstone is released in two distinct styles, matured in different locations for a reason. One rests in warehouses right on the Ayrshire coast, picking up a gentle maritime character, while the other matures further inland and leans on Highland peat for a sweeter, smokier profile. Same spirit, same distillery, two very different results depending on where the casks are left to rest. It is a relaxed, easy-drinking way into the wider world of whisky.
