Crafted from fruit from the famed Chalk Ridge Vineyard on the outskirts of Havelock North, this robust syrah has been a consistent performer over the years. The 2019 is another captivating example of modern Hawke's Bay winemaking that is loaded with dark savoury fruits, gentle spices and excellent persistence. It has a hint of Viognier (1.27%) to give it a bit of extra texture and complexity and is fantastic buying at this price.

Cameron Douglas MS: "Matured and ready with a bouquet and palate of cherry and raspberry fruit flavours, some clay and spice layers. A dry wine with a fine tannins texture, fruit flavours mirror the bouquet and the acid line holds all the taste and texture elements in place."
