Calmel & Joseph have a fast growing reputation for producing quality wines from the heart of the Languedoc-Roussillon region.  This 2024 chardonnay displays all the hallmark qualities of good southern French Chardonnay - offering freshness and elegance in a well-rounded, medium-bodied palate that brims with creamy mouthfeel.

The grapes for this wine were harvested in two separate batches - the first with the aim of retaining freshness, and the second two weeks later to maximise richness and concentration. 30% of the wine was matured in oak barrels for three months, and the result is a chardonnay with the creaminess, richness and weight that we all know and love. Enjoy now or add to your cellar collection to open over the coming 5+ years.

Tasting note

Well balanced aromas in notes of white flowers, mango, vine peach, and star anise, finishing on vanilla, coconut milk and gingerbread. The mouth is clean-cut, fresh and full, with stone fruit such as apricot or peach followed by acacia flowers, peppermint, fresh pineapple, grilled almonds, honey and butter, and a long creamy finish. Very moreish with the minerality that is characteristic of this wine.
