Little X is a label on the rise, and this is another wonderful example of modern Hawke's Bay Chardonnay from talented winemaker Tim Adams. Partial malolactic fermentation has resulted in a nicely balanced style, with plenty of texture and rounded fruit characters. There's lovely palate drive and layers of fresh, creamy characters that fill your mouth and flood your palate with tangy stonefruits and ripe citrus flavours.
With fruits sourced from carefully selected sites, it's focused, poised and vibrant, and a lovely wine that fans of proper, good quality Hawke's Bay Chardonnay will simply adore. Go long.

The winery: "Sourced from selected sites located in the sunny Hawke's Bay, Little X Chardonnay is hand and machine harvested and matured in a combination of stainless steel and older barrels. Aged for 8 months on lees with partial malolactic fermentation, it's focused and poised with vibrant fruit and barrel aged complexity."
