Offering superb value, Mount Riley Albariño is an absolute steal at an incredible $16.99. As the cool new kid on the block, albariño is set to give sauv a run for its money as New Zealand's next favourite white wine, and with offerings like this we're all for it.
Mount Riley have an impressive knack for putting flavour and power in the bottle and selling it well under the $20 barrier. The previous vintage of this delicious albariño scored a seriously impressive trophy win, and this new 2025 vintage has just taken out an incredible Double Gold Medal at the coveted NZIWS (every judge scored the wine of Gold Medal standard from the get-go!!!). With lush and inviting aromas of lemon, white flowers and melon, this wine is textural and juicy whilst still remaining super crisp and refreshing. Serve chilled in the sunshine with fresh seafood and great friends.

Tasting note
Sam Kim, Wine Orbit: "It's brightly fruited and delicately aromatic, showing crunchy apple, apricot, lemon peel, and jasmine notes, followed by a lively palate that's juicy and refreshing. Beautifully supported by fine acidity, making it vibrant and flavoursome. At its best: now to 2028."
The winery: "Delicate aromas of crunchy apple, apricot, lemon peel, and jasmine notes. Medium bodied with a brisk, firm freshness in the mouth. Dry with ripe fruit flavours firm acidity, and a salty saline finish."
