A classic Macon from Cave de Lugny; the regions largest producer. This is vibrant wine made from 100% chardonnay grapes with some generous fruit weight bringing texture to the palate - but this wine is all about the clean chardonnay flavours and fresh minerality that the Maconnais region is so famous for. The 2023 is the perfect aperitif to accompany salty finger foods, but it also has the balance and complexity to pair well with poultry, grilled fish, or ratatouille.
Tasting note
This wine has depth, intensity and so much flavour. It’s fresh with glorious notes of zesty citrus, delicate white flowers and a hint of honey. This is an archetypal Chardonnay from the Mâcon Villages in the south of Burgundy that uses different terroirs to combine minerality, delicacy and fruit expression.
