Located on clay and limestone soil, near the village of Gensac, the 8 hectare family estate has produced this lovely example of modern, Merlot dominant Bordeaux. 2021 was a good vintage in Bordeaux and this middle-weight wine is vinted in a fruit forward, immediately accessible style with good palate drive and plenty of savoury fruit flavour. It's another very good example of the sheer value that can be sourced from Bordeaux these days and a six pack makes a perfect gift for the wine lover in your life.
Tasting note:
Very fresh, expressive nose of ripe fruit with notes of red berries and spices (turmeric and cloves). The initial palate has a pleasant sweetness. It then becomes smooth and full-bodied with a very silky tannic structure. A harmonious, easy-to-drink wine!
