Made using the appassimento method, where parcels of grapes are dehydated to produce a greater concentration of colour, aromas and flavours in the glass, Gran Maestro is a totally voluminous yet juicy red wine loaded with immediate charm and sheer user-friendliness. Primitivo is the bearer of full-bodied complexity to this wine, and the Sangiovese component adds another dimension of savoury dark fruits to the party.
Tasting note
Deep red with garnet nuances. The bouquet offers wonderfully expressive aromas of ripe black fruits including blackcurrant, blackberry and blueberry. On the palate, this rich and powerful wine is characterised by incredibly silky texture, with its lively fruit acidity it appears also fantastically fresh and lively on the palate. On the finish, it is soft with sweet tannins.
