Crafted in Taiwan’s misty Yilan region, Kavalan Solist Manzanilla Cask Whisky is an expression of both place and tradition. Named after the ancient Kavalan people and surrounded by the Syue-shan mountains, this whisky draws from pure mountain spring water and a deeply rooted heritage to deliver something truly exceptional.
Matured in rare Manzanilla sherry casks, this single cask, cask strength release is elegant, coastal, and full of character. Lighter and more delicate than its Fino cousin, Manzanilla imparts a touch of salt and minerality, giving this whisky its unique savoury edge and layered depth.
Tasting Notes
Golden amber in the glass, with aromas of honeydew melon, toffee, and a whisper of cocoa. The palate is complex and fruit-driven - orange, melon, mint and cider mingle with a gentle salinity, balanced by vanilla sweetness and coastal freshness. Bold yet graceful, with a long, clean finish.
