If you love classic South Australian Cabernet Sauvignon, you’ll want to get your hands on this. The 2022 Metala White Label Cabernet Sauvignon is everything great cabernet should be - bold, structured and bursting with flavour, but at a price that makes it easy to keep coming back for more.

From the first sip, you’re treated to luscious layers of blackcurrant and dark berries, delivered with vibrancy and depth. What really sets this wine apart is the fine, polished tannin structure, which weaves effortlessly through the fruit, creating a mouthfeel that’s both powerful and refined. The finish is long, clean and compelling - a sign of the care and craft that’s gone into every bottle.

With six generations of winemaking behind the Metala name, this is a label you can trust, and a cabernet that totally overdelivers. Pair it with roast lamb, grilled steak or hard cheeses, or just pour generously and let it impress.

Tasting note

Cameron Douglas MS: "Ripe and enticing bouquet of dark plums and blackberry fruits, there’s a line of smoky dry earth qualities then scents of baking spices and smoky wood. Firm and dry, balanced and well made with a core of dark red berry fruits, some licorice and baking spices. The tannins has a light firmness adding structure and framing the core fruits nicely. A decent finish with best drinking from late 2024 through 2028."

Sam Kim, Wine Orbit: "It's delightfully fruited and inviting on the nose with blackcurrant, thyme, clove and toasted almond notes, leading to a succulent palate that's medium-full and finely textured with a lingering, sturdy finish. Beautifully composed and harmonious, offering excellent drinking. At its best: now to 2030."
