Better known for their work with the famous Wild Turkey brand, Master Distiller Jimmy Russell and his son Eddie have 90 years of experience making bourbon the traditional way, insisting that the best bourbon is only aged in the deepest, "alligator" char American White Oak barrels. After 10 years of aging in the centre cut of the barrel house, Jimmy and Eddie decide which barrels are to be bottled with the Russell name on them and thus Russell's Reserve 10YO is produced.
Tasting note
Aromas and flavours of sweet toffee, creamy vanilla, marzipan and PX sherry abound with a luxurious, spicy finish to rival much more expensive Bourbons.
