Briottet is a family run liqueur house from Dijon, in Burgundy, tracing back to 1836 when James Demontry began trading wine from the same premises the company still occupies. Edmond Briottet, who married into the family in the late nineteenth century, shifted the focus towards crème liqueurs and gave the house its name. Six generations on, siblings Vincent and Claire Briottet now run things, keeping production genuinely small scale rather than handing it to a larger drinks group. It remains one of the more traditional names in Easy Tiger's wider liqueur selection.

Its best known style is crème liqueur, a type of flavoured liqueur made using blackcurrants and other fruit macerated in neutral alcohol with a high sugar content rather than the drier profile of a typical spirit. Blackcurrants come from Burgundy's own Noir de Bourgogne variety, the same fruit behind the traditional blanc-cassis aperitif and countless classic cocktails.
