Campari is an Italian aperitivo created by Gaspare Campari, who developed the recipe between 1860 and 1867 while running cafes in Novara and then Milan, eventually opening a bar in the newly built Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II. After his death in 1882, his son Davide took over and turned it into an international brand with factories across Italy and overseas. The closely guarded recipe has stayed largely the same since, and it remains one of the more historically significant names in Easy Tiger's wider aperitivo selection.

That bittersweet character makes Campari a foundation of Italian drinking culture, balancing orange bitterness with herbal depth rather than straightforward sweetness. It sits at the centre of classic cocktails that grew up around it in the early twentieth century, including the Americano and the Negroni, and works just as well topped simply with soda as part of the wider world of liqueur.
