Chinola

Chinola takes its name from the Dominican Spanish word for passion fruit, the flavour that built the brand when it launched in 2014. It began as a collaboration between hospitality professionals, drinks industry veterans and a multi-generational master blender, all looking for a genuinely fresh alternative to the artificially flavoured liqueurs common on the market. Production is based on the Samaná Peninsula on the Dominican Republic's northeastern coast, where the tropical fruit is grown before making its way into the bottle.

Each bottle is made from fresh fruit and cane spirit rather than concentrates or added flavouring, kept low in alcohol so the fruit character stays front and centre. The distillery has also put real money back into the Samaná region, helping build roads, bridges and water wells for the community that grows its fruit.
