National Distillery NZ Gin Day 2026 Gin is a proper celebration of New Zealand gin, bringing together botanicals contributed by distilleries from around Aotearoa and handing them over to Napier’s National Distillery Co. to bring the final spirit together. Built on a classic juniper-forward London Dry foundation, the 2026 New Zealand Gin Day Souvenir Gin leads with juicy lemon and bright yuzu, creating a fresh, vibrant style made for summer drinking.
This collaborative New Zealand gin brings together yuzu, lemon, thyme, horehound, chamomile, horopito, coriander seed, orris root, angelica root, and juniper, with contributions from Blush Distillery, Bluff Distillery, Dancing Sands, Curiosity, Dr Beak, 5 Mile Distilling, Prophecy Distilling Co., Sandymount Distillery, Kākāpo Distillery, and National Distillery Co. Citrus leads the way before softer chamomile and thyme settle into the palate, with herbal complexity and a subtle nutty nuance through the finish. At 42%, it has plenty of presence for a Martini or Bramble while remaining an obvious choice for a seriously good G&T.
Tasting Notes
Fresh and juniper-led with juicy lemon and bright yuzu, followed by delicate chamomile, thyme, herbal spice, and a subtle nutty note through a clean, refreshing finish.
