Distilleries de Provence traces back to 1898, when a small distillery was founded in Forcalquier, in the Haute-Provence hills below the Montagne de Lure. The area has long been valued by local herb gatherers and druggists for its wide range of wild aromatic and medicinal plants, a tradition the distillery still draws on today. Alongside its historic pastis and liqueurs, the house also produces a French gin built around a dozen of these Provençal botanicals, giving it a herbal, sun-baked character.

The same distillery also makes a traditional Provençal peach aperitif, created by steeping ripe peaches in spirit, then blending the result with white wine and a touch of citrus. Wonderful poured over ice on a warm evening or topped up with sparkling wine, it sits neatly alongside our wider liqueur range for anyone building a home bar with a French accent.
