Balvenie 'DoubleWood' 12YO Single-Malt Whisky 700ml
Balvenie's Double Wood 12 year old expression is, as you may well have guessed, aged in two kinds of oak casks. It is firstly matured in used American oak casks before being treated to a finish in new European oak Oloroso sherry butts for the final nine months.
This expression was first launched in 1993, and has become an iconic bottling over the years. At 12 years old, it is a rich and complex dram and a wonderful example of what this great speyside distillery can craft.
