Arran Port Cask Finish Whisky 700ml

This Single Malt, part of the Arran Wine Cask Finish series, makes for a superb after-dinner dram, particularly when paired with a selection of delicious cheeses. It's a great choice for any occasion.

After aging for approximately 8 years in traditional oak casks, the Arran Single Malt in this bottling underwent further maturation in Port casks from an artisanal producer of the renowned Portuguese fortified wine.

The maturation process was closely overseen by Arran's Master Distiller, guaranteeing the ideal marriage between Port casks and the distinctive characteristics of the Arran Single Malt, resulting in a charming and flavourful dram.

Tasting Notes

The nose offers notes of cinnamon and baked apples, while the palate boasts hints of vanilla spice, citrus, and nuttiness. Adding a splash of water reveals a deeper mandarin citrus flavour, accompanied by fudge and honey notes. The finish is characterised by a spicy, bitter orange taste, with a touch of chocolate and cherries.
