Teeling’s Sommelier Series continues with a remarkable limited release finished in ex red wine casks from Portugal’s Douro region, home to old vine vineyards often more than 25 years old. These casks are renowned for their depth, structure, and bold black fruit character, and here they add vibrant richness to the floral, fruity style of Teeling Small Batch.

The result is a whiskey full of dark fruit, spice, and tannic structure, capturing the distinct plum, acidity, and wood spice of Douro old vines while still retaining the smoothness Teeling is known for. A complex, expressive Irish whiskey made to savour.

Tasting Notes

Plum, blackberry, and dates on the nose. Black pepper, oak tannin, sour cherry, and dark fruit on the palate with a long, dry, spiced finish.
