To craft the Shepherd's Delight Orange Gin, Forecast have blended candied Gisborne Navel Orange peels with their award-winning London Dry botanical base, bringing vibrant citrus complexity, and a seductive mid-palate like no other.
The rich natural colouring of the gin is a homage to the red skies of a classic New Zealand sunset. The real magic is when you add your tonic and watch the red fade to pink, bringing the full effect of a sunset in your glass.
This really is one of the most delightful gins we've come across. Its gorgeous colour is unlike any other gin we've seen, and the gin itself is expertly balanced, with their 8 signature botanicals harmonising perfectly - this really is everything you look for in a premium craft gin.
It also makes for a perfect Negroni - the colour adds to the vividness of a Negroni and really makes it pop, and the orange notes match perfectly with the Campari and orange garnish.
Forecast have crafted their new gin range at the National Distillery in Hawkes Bay, with help from their internationally awarded distilling team.
