Though best known for their extraordinary prowess with chardonnay, Kumeu River's reputation for crafting fine pinot gris is gilt edged and they consistently produce some of the finest pinot gris examples released on the domestic market. The 2024 is luscious, complex and richly proportioned with layers of spiced fruit.
Tasting note
The aromas have typical peach and stone fruit notes tinged with the floral perfume that we have come to expect from Pinot Gris. On the palate the wine is rich and complex with a lively texture on the palate.
