Only produced when the conditions are standout, the 'Limited Release' wines are a collection of exceptional wines, showcasing expressive minerality, exquisite fruit intensity and finesse. Jeff Clarke (ex Penfolds & Church Road winemaker and two-time International Winemaker of the Year winner) has given the magic touch to this collection of Limited Release wines.

The 2023 is an opulent Marlborough Pinot Noir with fragrant red berry aromas and hints of spice that extend to an opulent palate of ripe cherry and dark plum. Some green herbage, mocha and gamey notes add extra complexity. While that supple palate flows through to a drier finish, those silky, mouth-filling fruits remain the lasting impression, and each taste is better than the mouthful before. Beautifully structured. Immediately satisfying.

Tasting note

Sam Kim, Wine Orbit: "It's superbly ripe and enticing on the nose with Black Doris plum, violet, toasted spice and cedar characters, which lead to a concentrated palate that's fleshy and flavoursome. Wonderfully balanced by layers of fine-grained tannins, finishing impressively long and velvety."

Bob Campbell MW: "Bright, vibrant pinot noir with dark cherry, fresh herbs, cacao nibs, and plum supported by fruity acidity that builds energy and helps to drive a lengthy finish."

Cameron Douglas MS: "A bouquet with a fine complexity and some intrigue. Smoke and spices precede scents of dark plum and cherry then an earthy clay or stone quality. Dry, fleshy, fine tannins and acidity frame a wine that reflects the bouquet with flavours of cherry and darker berries then plum."
