This celebrated XO rum is first matured for years in bourbon casks in Barbados, then finished in small Ferrand French oak casks in France, a double-ageing process that gives it extra texture, softness and complexity. The palate leans decadent and rounded, with layers of chocolate, vanilla, ripe banana, roasted coconut and a hint of mango, all carried through a long, elegant finish. With more than 55 gold medals to its name, it is a premium rum that more than lives up to the hype.
