This lovely expression of fine Marlborough Pinot Noir is in top form. Vinted from handpicked fruit, and only now entering its ideal drinking window, this expressive wine sits in the savoury red fruit spectrum with nicely integrated, fine tannins. Stringent barrel selection adds a lovely wood spice note, while a lick of acidity adds freshness and palate drive. This is lovely wine; a brilliant introduction to the magic that Seresin is so well known for.
Vegetarian and Vegan friendly, the 2024 is fully biodynamic and certified organic.
Tasting note
Cameron Douglas MS: "Core hues of purple and ruby with a pink and purple rim. A youthful and intense bouquet with scents of blackberry and plum then dark cherry and raspberry. A light and fine savoury quality highlights the mineral stony earth complexity that naturally sits within the bouquet then palate. A dry wine with textures from acidity and tannins carrying the core fruit flavours and mouthfeel."
The winery writes: "A majestic introduction to Seresin Pinot Noir. Lifted notes of violets and dark berry fruits prevail, that intermingle seamlessly with earthy, forest floor aromas. Surely one of the best vintages we have seen from Raupo, and this is reflected on the palate with a concentrated and highly structured wine, that is supported by supple tannins and purity of fruit."
