This release pays tribute to the work of Charles Rennie Mackintosh, drawing inspiration from his 1902 stained glass panel The Spirit of the Rose and his belief that art is the flower to life’s green leaf. The whisky reflects that philosophy beautifully, allowing flavour to evolve naturally over time without distraction. The result is a deeply coloured, sherry driven single malt that feels both timeless and expressive, with layers that reward slow, considered sipping.
On the palate, the influence of European oak is front and centre. Sweet oak and vanilla lead, followed by warming ginger, apple and a gentle wisp of tea leaf. The finish is long, rich and comforting, with lingering sweetness and depth that stays with you well after the last sip. Tasting Notes
Rich aromas of raisin and fig open the nose, followed by polished oak, cherry, almonds, orange peel and treacle. The palate is full and layered with sweet oak, vanilla, ginger and baked apple, finishing long, sweet and deeply satisfying with subtle tea notes and sherry warmth.
