Arran's first distillery was established almost 30 years ago in the picturesque Lochranza. Although other locations were considered, the decision to build near Loch na Davie was based on the availability of fresh water, a crucial factor for whisky distillation. The company's second distillery, opened in 2019 in the southern part of the island at Lagg, produces a distinctively peated single malt.
Enjoy a perfectly balanced, one-off limited edition expression of Arran's spirit in the Arran 17YO Single Malt. This whisky has been expertly matured in a blend of first and second fill Sherry Hogsheads and first fill Bourbon Barrels, bottled at 46% Vol for a unique tasting experience.
Tasting note
The palate offers a combination of green apple and orchard fruits, accompanied by notes of butterscotch and a subtle hint of toasted oak. The finish is pleasantly soft and lingering, with a delicate almond and creamy vanilla flavor. A touch of cinnamon brings a perfect balance to the final mouthfeel.
