Inspired by those who adventure past the known horizons, Sailors Home is the culmination of Master Distiller Dr. Jack Ó'Sé's 40+ years of whiskey journey, creating and innovating exploratory new Irish whiskey expressions for all to discover.
The Horizon is a masterfully crafted blend of 10-year-old Irish malt and grain whiskeys that were first aged in American Bourbon casks and then artfully finished in Barbados Rum casks. This process infuses the whiskey with a luxurious and sophisticated flavour profile, reminiscent of the rich flavours found in Caribbean rum.
Tasting note
Scents of rich brown sugar and tropical fruits tantalise the nose, while the palate reveals a harmonious blend of honeyed malt, deep oak, smooth rum, creamy vanilla, and caramelised banana. The finish is a decadent combination of buttery toffee and bright orange zest.
