The finish is long and persistent with creamy brulee flavours and a lovely lick of fresh acidity. Tasting note
The winery: "The nose is filled with brioche, peach, melon and grapefruit pith with hints of toasted nuts and spice. On the palate the wine is seamless with many different flavours flowing nicely together. All the hallmarks of an ultra-premium Chardonnay are present - the fruit, oak and MLF flavours coalesce together nicely. Hawke’s Bay Chardonnay at its absolute pinnacle for what is arguably a very low price for this kind of quality. Get in now before the boss decides to put the price up! !"
