Sherwood Estate started as a husband and wife operation in Waipara in the late 1980s and it's evolved into one of the biggest independent wine operations in the country. They focus on making quality wines with an emphasis on environmental stewardship, having become one of the first Waipara wineries to become accredited with Sustainable Winemaking New Zealand.
Their Stratum range is all about fresh, bright, exuberant wines and their 2024 riesling release is exactly that. Vinted in a medium-dry style, with vibrant citrus notes on the palate, this is an excellent option for riesling fans.
Tasting note
A well-balanced Riesling, full of flavour in a medium-dry style. Elegant fruit flavours of lemon and lime make this wine great with spicy food.
