Arran 25YO Single Malt Whisky 700ml LIMITED RELEASE

Arran's first distillery was established almost 30 years ago in the picturesque Lochranza. Although other locations were considered, the decision to build near Loch na Davie was based on the availability of fresh water, a crucial factor for whisky distillation. The company's second distillery, opened in 2019 in the southern part of the island at Lagg, produces a distinctively peated single malt.

The Arran distillery is proud to introduce their annual addition to their core range - the 25 Year Old Single Malt Whisky. With only 3,000 bottles produced annually and distributed worldwide, this is a highly sought-after and limited bottling. This prestigious whisky is the pinnacle of their core range's age statement offerings.

This whisky has undergone maturation in both ex-Sherry and Bourbon casks and has been bottled at a strength of 46%. There has been no use of chill filtration or added coloring in the process.

Tasting Notes

This whisky has aromas of rich oak with a gentle nutmeg note. Sweeter aromas of baked ripe figs, sultanas and black cherries.  The palate boasts flavours of fruit cake with toasted almonds and cinnamon. The juicy zestiness of oranges and mandarins mellows perfectly with manuka honey, muscovado sugar, baked apricots and an interesting white pepper note that provides even more complexity. Creamy and spicy finish with dark chocolate, walnuts and dark fruits compote.
