Arran Rare Batch 15YO Single Malt Whisky 700ml

Arran Rare Batch 15 Year Old is a limited release of just 3060 bottles, drawn exclusively from a tiny parcel of exceptional casks sourced from the historic Argonne Forest in north east France. These rare French oak casks once matured still wines near the village of Ay, and over 15 patient years they have shaped Arran’s bright, fruit-forward spirit into something richly layered and completely distinctive.

This is Arran at its most expressive, with the higher cask strength lifting the orchard fruit character while weaving in soft spice, warm oak and a gentle vinous depth from the French oak influence. A rare chance to taste the island’s signature style through a very different lens.

Tasting Notes

Warm cedar, sandalwood and incense on the nose, lifted by white grapes, pink lady apple and orange blossom. The palate is oily and vibrant with honeyed fruit, vanilla, orange cake, nutmeg and soft brioche, flowing into a long finish of warm spice, oak tannin and mandarin liqueur.
