Benriach 27YO 1994 Cask #1858 Whisky 700ml

Built in 1898 by John Duff, the BenRiach Speyside Distillery stands out as one of the only distilleries to have its own on-site floor malting and uses water sourced from the nearby Burnside Springs.

The Master Blender today, Rachel Barrie, carefully selects a single cask for each BenRiach Cask Bottling that showcases remarkable taste and character. These bottlings are distinct and boast a smooth, well-rounded personality. Each release is sourced from a single cask and is a limited edition, showcasing a unique aspect of BenRiach. Every bottle is hand-numbered, not chill-filtered, and maintains its natural colour.

Tasting Notes

The nose presents scents of charred black cherry, baked orange, and apple, along with notes of cranberry, tobacco, and smouldering oak. The palate reveals flavors of oak-smoked baked apple, raisin, and blueberry pastry, intertwined with hints of vanilla and pepper-dusted liquorice.
