Glen Scotia's Double Cask Single Malt Whisky is a brilliant introduction to the character of Campbeltown whisky. Matured in first fill bourbon casks and finished in rich Pedro Ximenez sherry casks, it balances sweet dessert like richness with Glen Scotia’s signature coastal edge.
The bourbon casks bring smooth vanilla, caramel and orchard fruit, while the PX finish layers in dried fruit sweetness and warming spice. Running through it all is that unmistakable Campbeltown character, a subtle maritime salinity and gentle earthy depth that gives the whisky real personality. The result is rich and approachable but still complex enough to keep seasoned whisky drinkers interested.
Tasting Notes
Rich aromas of toffee, vanilla and caramel with hints of green apple, sea spray and soft peat smoke. The palate is oily and full with caramel fudge, honey and dried fruit, followed by cinnamon and ginger spice. The finish is long and warming with vanilla oak, soft smoke and a lightly salty coastal note.
