The King's Ginger Liqueur has one of the great backstories in the spirits world. First created in 1903 by London wine merchants Berry Bros. & Rudd for King Edward VII, it was designed to warm the King during his early morning drives in the countryside. The result is a wonderfully lively ginger liqueur that balances spicy warmth with bright citrus freshness.
Made by carefully macerating fresh ginger root and lifting it with a touch of lemon oil, The King’s Ginger is bold, vibrant and incredibly versatile. The ginger delivers a warming spice that spreads across the palate, while the citrus keeps everything fresh and energetic. It is fantastic served chilled as a digestif, mixed with soda or tonic for a refreshing highball, or used to add a spicy kick to cocktails.
Tasting Notes
Bright ginger spice leads the nose with a fresh citrus lift. The palate is warm and lively with bold ginger heat, balanced by lemony freshness and a lingering spicy finish.
