Distilled in New Zealand, this award winning gin is inspired by the Chatham Island's rare and endangered Black Robin. The Simply Pure team are dedicated to the preservation of the black robin, so with every bottle sold they donate to help protect their wildlife.
Black Robin Gin is a refreshingly contemporary approach to a London Dry Gin. It has a carefully selected blend of 11 botanicals from across the globe, though many are native to New Zealand as a nod to the Black Robin’s heritage, including Horopito leaves which give a chilli-like heat and flavour to the gin.
Tasting note
Nose brings lemongrass, lime peel and leafy watercress. Anise and caraway develop in the glass. Leafy notes continue on the palate, joined by spiciness of cardamom and juniper. Finishes with sweet hints of liquorice and pear skin linger.
