Citadelle's Original Gin is an award-winning premium gin that was first released in France in the late 80s, though their history dates much further back to a distillery in Dunkirk in the late 18th Century.
Dunkirk was one of the main European ports for early explorers of Asia. These explorers brought back herbs and spices from the Far East, which influenced the creation of this fabulous gin. It contains 19 different botanicals, including: Moroccan Coriander, French Juniper, Mexican Orange Peel and Chinese Liquorice.
Tasting Note
Simple herbaceous notes of juniper and anise, followed by spicy cinnamon on the nose. On the palate, crisp delivery of juniper and citrus. Medium length and tangy finish. Beautifully balanced.
