Dancing Sands Mediterranean Gin is a beautifully distinctive New Zealand gin that takes the house’s clean, premium style in a more savoury, sun-drenched direction. Made in Golden Bay by Dancing Sands Distillery, it is inspired by Mediterranean flavours rather than the usual citrus-forward gin playbook, giving it a profile that feels warm, herbaceous and properly food-friendly. It also comes in Dancing Sands’ elegant, understated bottle, which gives it a polished shelf presence to match the liquid inside.
This savoury, herb-led expression layers rosemary, thyme, sage, rock salt and sun-dried tomato over a bold gin backbone, creating something that feels a little left of centre in the best possible way. The result is dry, structured and full of character, with enough depth to shine in a G&T but especially good in more savoury serves like a Dirty Martini or Red Snapper. It is a very smart choice for gin drinkers who like their bottles with a bit more intrigue and a lot less sweetness.
Tasting Notes
