From their distillery at the foot of the Andes in Venezuela, Diplomatico have been distilling rums since the 1950's. Diplomatico Mantuano, Mantuano meaning Nobleman, is a blend of rums made from molasses and sugar cane honey, distilled in column, kettle and pot stills, and then aged for up to 8 years.
Tasting note
The aroma of this rum boasts a rich sweetness of liquorice and chocolate. The palate reveals distinct notes of oily cinnamon and nutmeg, followed by caramel and charred toffee. The finish is smooth and delicate, leaving a lasting impression.
