Dows Fine Tawny Port 750ml

$44.99 $47.99

Dow’s owns two of the Douro’s finest Quintas, Senhora da Ribeira and Bomfim. They were acquired in 1890 and 1896, making Dow’s one of the first houses to invest in premium vineyards. Dow’s Fine Tawny is a three-year-old blend aged in small oak casks. The barrel ageing produces a smoother and lighter style of wine than the Dow’s Ruby which is aged primarily in large oak vats called "tonels". Subtle fruit flavours with delicious velvety nutty flavour. Get in there.

Tasting note

Appealing tawny colour. Dow’s Fine Tawny manages to combine velvety smooth nutty and caramel aromas with delicious ripe fruit such as apricots, with hints of raisins. On the palate fresh, well balanced and with a long and slightly dry finish.
