Holland Road Ginseng & Manuka Honey Gin

Holland Road's Ginseng & Manuka Honey Gin is the original expression from the distillery and still a firm favourite among those who like their gin with a bit more depth and personality. Built on a premium sugarcane base, this London Dry is steeped for over 48 hours with freshly harvested 10 year old wild ginseng root and raw Manuka honey before being slowly distilled in a custom copper pot still. It is a meticulous process, and you can taste the care in every sip.

Bottled at a bold 47% ABV to capture every layer of flavour, this is a gin that leans savoury and herbaceous while still carrying a gentle citrus lift from organic green yuzu. The ginseng brings an earthy, rooty backbone, the Manuka honey adds subtle creaminess, and the traditional botanicals keep it firmly in London Dry territory. Awarded Silver at both the New Zealand Gin Awards 2022 and the Australian Gin Awards 2023, it is smooth, distinctive and seriously memorable. A brilliant winter sipper neat, or a standout base for more adventurous G&Ts.

Tasting Notes

Rooty, earthy and floral on the nose with a soft citrus brightness. The palate is smooth and herbaceous, with juniper, gentle spice and a delicate savoury edge balanced by creamy honeyed notes. The finish is long and warming, with hints of gooseberry, vanilla and subtle citrus.
