Isle of Raasay's 'The Draam' is the signature whisky from the Isle of Raasay Distillery, built to capture an older Hebridean style with light peat and rich dark fruit in perfect balance. Crafted from a combination of peated and unpeated spirit, it delivers a smoky coastal edge without ever losing its polish, making it a seriously appealing bottle for both seasoned whisky drinkers and those stepping into peated single malt for the first time. It also comes in Raasay’s striking geology-inspired bottle, which gives it real shelf presence and makes it feel every bit as distinctive as the whisky inside.
This signature single malt is matured using the distillery’s unique six-cask recipe, combining first-fill ex-rye whiskey casks, virgin Chinkapin oak and first-fill Bordeaux red wine casks to build layers of smoke, spice and dark fruit. Bottled at 46.4% ABV, natural colour and non-chill filtered, it has a depth of flavour that goes well beyond its years, with a lighter fragrant smokiness sitting alongside honeyed malt, red fruit richness and a long, warming finish.
Tasting Notes
Lightly peated and beautifully balanced with honeyed malt, rich dark fruit and fragrant smoke, finishing long, smooth and gently coastal with subtle spice.
